Paving Sealing

Block paving cleaning & sealing is a procedure usually done in 4 Stages:-

Stage 1: Always treat the block paved area first with weed killer or fungicidal wash to eliminate any fungal spores and weed growths. It is then left for 5-7 days.

Stage 2: The paved area should then be extensively cleaned using a professional rotary headed pressure cleaner to remove any weeds, algae plus general dirt and grime that may have accumulated over time. Any oil and diesel stains should also be treated and removed at this stage.

Stage 3: Pure kiln dried sand is then brushed into the joints to stabilise the paving from movement. During the cleaning process it is highly likely that a large amount of sand would have been displaced from the joints surrounding the blocks.

Stage 4: We would then spray* Smartseal acrylic block paving sealer onto the block paving. This will increase the lifespan of the block paving, giving lasting protection.

* The acrylic sealant is sprayed in two coats to ensure that the sand and each individual block is saturated and to provide the most protective solution.
